Darat Mango Wood & Jute Pendant – Natural

Combining two of our favourite natural materials – jute and mango wood, this statement design brings to mind a rustic country house style. The mix of solid wood frame and woven fabric in complementary neutral tones gives a relaxed, laid-back aesthetic while the silhouette of the two-tiered chandelier creates a focal point that draws the eye. Stunning over a dining table or hung in a lofty living room or hallway to maximise its effects. When lit, the beautiful mango wood frame reveals the natural grain of the wood, while the intentionally loose weave of the fabric and the considered spacing between fabric and frame allow light to gently diffuse through the room and pool softly beneath. It is colourfast so will not fade over time.

Jute is woven into a strong and sturdy fabric that makes it perfect for structural pieces. Jute is a durable material designed to last, and it is also colourfast. Biodegradable and fast growing, it takes only 4-6 months from planting to harvest. The frame for the pendant is made of mango wood. Mango wood is a fast-growing tree that is typically a by-product of the mango growing industry in India. We love repurposing it to give it a new lease of life. We use this wood to create many of our stylish, eclectic and sustainable furnishings for use throughout the home.
